REACH Annex XIV (the Authorisation List) is the official directory of substances whose uses are prohibited after a specified sunset date unless a REACH authorisation has been granted. For each listed SVHC, a latest application date and a sunset date are defined, requiring affected companies to make timely decisions regarding authorisation applications, substitution, or phased-out use. Inclusion in Annex XIV is carried out in accordance with the Article 59 procedure, based on the Candidate List of substances of very high concern.
